Skoda India launched the Kushaq Monte Carlo Edition earlier this year at a starting price of Rs. 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Now, on the account of the festive season, the German carmaker is all geared up to introduce another special edition in the Kushaq line-up. Christened as the Anniversary Edition, a workaround video of this new edition has surfaced online, showcasing the exterior as well as interiors of the four-wheeler. The new special edition is based on the top-of-the-line Style variant with prices starting from Rs. 15.59 lakh (ex-showroom). The Anniversary Edition looks quite similar to the regular Kushaq except for a few minor differences. To begin with, the Anniversary Edition moniker is stickered on the C-pillar in a contrasting colour scheme. Other significant changes on board include a chrome window garnish, a thin silver line running across the body cladding and door edge guards. Inside the cabin, the Anniversary Edition has regained the 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that was earlier removed due to the supply chain shortage.

This system gets wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity along with a dedicated subwoofer placed in the spare wheel compartment. To further spruce up the package, the Kushaq special edition will come equipped with an array of dealer-level accessories such as door sun blinds, chrome inserts, mud flaps, 3D floor mats, key fob cover and more. Apart from this, everything else remains the same, right from the mechanicals to the styling package.

The Kushaq Anniversary Edition will continue to use the same set of powertrain options with all the available combinations. The 1.0-litre TSI petrol engine churns out 115 bhp and 178 Nm of peak torque, paired to a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The 1.5-litre TSI petrol motor is good enough for 150 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque and it is available with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DSG transmission.

The prices of the Anniversary Edition start from Rs. 15.59 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes all the way up to Rs. 19.09 lakh (ex-showroom). The Skoda Kushaq recently achieved a full 5-star rating in the GNCAP (Global New Car Assessment Program) crash test results. The mid-size SUV is kitted with a host of safety tech such as ESC (Electronic Stability Program), Multi Collision Braking, 6 airbags, Brake Disc Wiping, Roll Over Protection, EDS (Electronic Differential Lock System), XDS and XDS+ (over 30 kmph), ABS with EBD and more.
