Speeding Suzuki Hayabusa collides with Mercedes-Benz in wrong side: Bike breaks into two

0 52

The increasing incidents of road rage and rash driving on Indian roads have become more rampant. Call it the ignorance of Indian drivers/riders or the poor infrastructure, the number of road accidents in India is only increasing year after year. Many such accidents also involve high-end cars and superbikes, which get completely damaged beyond recognition. Here is one such high-profile accident, in which a Suzuki Hayabusa rammed into a Mercedes-Benz E-Class and got destroyed badly.

The said accident took place near Narayangarh Bypass in Amritsar, in which a blue-coloured second-generation Suzuki Hayabusa collided with a white-coloured Mercedes-Benz E-Class. This entire accident got recorded in a CCTV camera placed near the spot where this accident occurred, and someone uploaded this video on YouTube in form of a short video.

The CCTV footage shows that the rider of the Suzuki Hayabusa collided with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class while riding at an alarmingly high speed. Due to the high-speed impact, the Suzuki Hayabusa is seen flying in the air, which ended up getting damaged badly. The other half of the video shows the almost destroyed condition of the Hayabusa, which is seen broken in pieces and beyond the state of repair.

Massive damage

The Hayabusa collided with the left-hand side fender of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, which got relative small damages. It is visible that the front bumper and fender of the E-Class have suffered from some scratches, which is hard to believe considering the almost destroyed condition of the Hayabusa involved in the same accident. Since the E-Class is seen with its face towards the driver, it is assumed that the E-Class driver wanted to take a U-turn and flee from the spot of the accident.

While there is not much information involved about the rider of the Suzuki Hayabusa, the driver of the Mercedes-Benz took him to the hospital. In the video, we can also see the open stretch of the road which is free from obstructions, due to which it has been concluded that it was overspeeding by the Hayabusa rider which has caused this accident.

This high-profile accident has once again thrown some light on the concerns about overspeeding by Indian motorists on the road. While riding such high-performance machines, the rider should have complete control over them, by riding sedately on public roads.

Superbikes on Indian roads

The Indian roads are extremely unsafe. We commonly see stray animals, cattle and pedestrians crossing the road. There are even vehicles that come on the wrong side or take turns without using the indicators. It is very important to ride within the safe speed limit on Indian roads so that the speed can be controlled during emergency situations.

Superbikes are extremely popular machines and even if they are road legal, they can attain extreme speeds in no time. Most superbikes are even quicker than the supercars and cross the three-digit speed limit in the first gear itself. It is difficult to keep the speed under control, especially on open highways.

But after seeing this video, it becomes imperative to keep the speed under the road limit. Riding superbikes can be challenging on the roads and we suggest that speed lovers take their performance machines to the tracks where one can speed under a controlled environment.

As there is no concept of the right-of-way in India, it is always a good idea to slow down to safer speeds on the roads when approaching a crossing. Also, when on the highways, it is always a good idea to slow down while crossing populated areas like cities and villages. Even though there are proper crossings made for pedestrians, most people do not use these crossings and try to save time by loitering on the highways. Also, such areas have a high chance of stray animals and cattle.
