TAG Heuer launches new expensive Wear OS watches

0 27

TAG Heuer has just launched three new models of the Connected Calibre E4 smartwatch it released last year, including new ‘Sport’ and ‘Golf’ models. All three new models are more expensive than the originals, and there is a reason for that. At least by TAG Heuer’s standards. You may not remember from last year’s launch, that the base model of the Connected Calibre E4 started at around $1,850. And we wouldn’t blame you for losing track of that information and forgetting about it altogether.

Because why retain the memory of a product that expensive if you’re never intending to buy it? Well, the latest three models go above and beyond that price by hundreds. The least expensive new model is the Black Titanium Connected Calibre E4.

The big difference is that this model comes with a black titanium case. As the name implies. Specifically it’s DLC grade 2 titanium and has a sandblasted matte black finish. It retails for $2,350, and TAG Heuer says it’ll join the collection in the middle of February. So availability is about a month away.

TAG Heuer has already launched the Calibre E4 Sport and Golf models

For the discerning buyer who is ok with spending a little bit more, there are two other models that have the matte black sandblasted titanium cases. The Sport and Golf models of the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4. The Sport model retails for $2,600 and the Gold model retails for $2,650. Both are also available now as opposed to launching next month.

The Sport and Golf models do come with special bands. But aside from those and the black titanium, they’re basically the same as the other Connected Calibre E4 models. So if you don’t need the extra special case material, you can pick up a Connected Calibre E4 for less money. Worth noting is that like the Connected Calibre E4 that was launched last year, these new models do not come with Wear OS 3. They will be getting an upgrade to it though at some point.
