A bagel chain beloved in Washington, D.C, and Maryland plans to expand from its East Coast roots, with two outposts set for the Mile High City. Call Your Mother Deli, a bagel shop and deli, will open the stores next spring at 1291 N. Pearl St. in Capitol Hill and 3870 Tennyson St. around Berkeley, D.C.-area magazine Washingtonian reported. Rosenberg’s Bagels & Delicatessen in Denver’s Five Points neighborhood is taking a break. The Bridge & Tunnel Restaurant Group on Friday announced the popular deli and NYC style bagel hot spot is closed. The temporary closure will allow the restaurant, at 725 E. 26th Ave., to “focus on the health of our staff and our old building,” the announcement said. A reopening date has not yet been announced.
