The owner of a defunct Vail construction company surrendered to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office in connection to the death of a worker in a 2021 trench collapse. Peter Dillon, who owned A4S LLC, faces a manslaughter charge, according to a U.S. Department of Labor news release. A construction contractor in Vail faces fines and federal scrutiny after a trench collapse killed a worker and the company “willfully” exposed workers to trench hazards.
