Invictus cybersecurity firm expanding operations in Colorado Springs

A veteran-owned cybersecurity and technology company is going to expand its operations in Colorado Springs and expects to add 130 new jobs. The Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade said Thursday that Invictus International Consulting said the company chose Colorado Springs over Reston, Va.,and San Antonio. Denver ranked near bottom in U.S. for job growth, openings last year

Colorado ranked sixth worst among U.S. states when it came to job creation last year, according to estimates from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. But was that weakness a statewide issue or a more localized problem? Job losses, assuming they hold following revisions due out next month, were primarily centered in metro Denver with Pueblo. Colorado-born Ball Aerospace has a new owner, a new name and what the company hopes will be a growing global customer base. But Dave Kaufman, president of the company now called Space & Mission Systems, said the nearly 70-year-old business is “staying put” in Colorado. Coloradan files class-action lawsuit against Greystar over “junk fees”

A former Colorado tenant has sued real estate giant Greystar — the nation’s largest apartment management company — over hidden charges and “junk fees” charged for items including pest control and valet trash service. Nichole Collins, a tenant until April in a Lakewood apartment complex called The Hamptons, filed the lawsuit in Denver District Court on Jan. 9. 5 companies look to bring manufacturing jobs to Colorado

Five companies considering Colorado for 2,148 new jobs received approval for $22.9 million in Job Growth Incentive Tax Credits on Thursday. The companies include manufacturers of rare-earth magnets, semiconductor production tools, large-scale batteries, and consumable goods, as well as a Greeley-based general contractor. While construction is not manufacturing, it does fall under the category of “goods” rather than services.
