Back in 2019 writer Kelly Thompson and artist Carmen Carnero launched a new Carol Danvers Captain Marvel ongoing series, a few months before the character headlined her own solo film. More than three years later, Marvel has announced that Thompson is wrapping up her historic run this June with Captain Marvel #50, a double-sized issue featuring art by Javier Pina and David Lopez.
