Elon Musk says X, the new Twitter, will have just the Dark mode soon

It has become hard to predict what goes on in the mind of X (formerly known as Twitter) owner Elon Musk ever since he muscled an entire rebranding campaign onto the platform within just 3 days. And the successful maneuvering of the move has perhaps made the billionaire even more 'unhinged', at least that is what social media is insinuating. Yesterday, he announced in a tweet, that going forward, the platform will only support dark mode, bringing an instant worry to all those who do not prefer it since reading…

Review: Homeless by K Vaishali

Have you ever been curious about the lives of people who write developer documentation for technology companies? Me neither. Until I read K Vaishali’s absorbing memoir Homeless: Growing Up Lesbian and Dyslexic in India, it seemed like a niche and nerdy area of work completely outside the scope of my understanding and the people involved in it did not pique my interest. This book made me reflect on how individuals are much more than their day jobs. PREMIUM “Much of this book is about a search for love in the…

Research Suggests There’s a Big Overlooked Benefit of Having Dyslexia

The modern world is stitched together by threads of written language. For those with the reading disorder dyslexia, the endless tangle of words can feel like an obstacle to survival.  Long framed purely as a learning disorder, the neurological condition that makes the decoding of text so difficult could also benefit individuals and their community in a world full of unknowns.University of Cambridge psychologists Helen Taylor and Martin David Vestergaard reexamined the traditional view of developmental dyslexia as a…
