Nigerian tycoon Tony Elumelu and his family upped their stake in Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp) to more than one-third, taking their combined interest in the conglomerate to 14.6 billion shares. At a market price of N3.53 per share on Wednesday, the Elumelus’ stake in Transcorp comes to over N51.6 billion.
