Kendrick Lamar Unleashes Music Video for “N95” f/ Baby Keem

One of the standout tracks on Kendrick Lamar’s Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers now has a video. On Saturday, K-Dot unveiled the visual for “N95,” co-directed by himself and Dave Free. The video sees K-Dot—and at a few different points, Baby Keem—float through various scenes in both black-and-white and color as he sits by a payphone, workout on a roof, and stand on water. The clip starts off with the words “THIS SHIT HARD” plastered over a view of a beach, where a young boy watches Lamar stand on top of water, dressed in…

Kendrick Lamar drops new LP ‘Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers’

Kendrick Lamar’s new album “Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers” is both a return to form and the end of an era. The LP, Lamar’s fifth studio album, is his first new record after winning a Pulitzer Prize for 2017’s “Damn.” (though he gave nearly an album’s worth of work to the “Black Panther” soundtrack). It comes four months after Lamar performed at the Super Bowl at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood alongside his mentor Dr. Dre in a Compton-themed set. But it’s also the 14-time Grammy winner’s final album with Top Dawg…

But true to form,…

Kendrick Lamar: Mr Morale & the Big Steppers review – rap genius bares heart, soul and mind | Kendrick Lamar

As Kendrick Lamar notes on Mr Morale & the Big Steppers’ opening track, it’s been 1,855 days since he last released an album. By his own account, the intervening five years have been something of a rollercoaster ride. He and his partner started a family (his children are on the album’s front cover), he made an acclaimed acting debut, performed at the first ever Super Bowl half-time show centred around hip-hop, and watched as the praise for his work shifted into an unprecedented realm. He won the Pulitzer prize for…
