Fitbit has been hit with another lawsuit citing more severe burns as a result of battery failure in its devices. The previous lawsuit had nearly 2 million Fitbit Ionics recalled earlier this year because of 78 reported burns, some of which were second and third-degree. Amazon-owned PillPack settles DOJ insulin lawsuit for $6 million

Amazon-owned online pharmacy company PillPack agreed to pay nearly $6 million after admitting to giving patients more insulin at a time than Medicare and Medicaid allow, according to a settlement announced by the Department of Justice on Monday. Government healthcare programs like Medicare and Medicaid put limits on the supply of drugs they’ll cover at one time, which restricts the amount of the drug a pharmacy can distribute to a patient. Google’s Fitbit Ionic recall doesn’t go far enough, lawsuit says

In March, Google announced it was voluntarily recalling 1.7 million Fitbit Ionic smartwatches following reports of 78 burns. Now, a recently filed lawsuit says the recall didn’t go far enough, claiming that the same defect affects all of Google’s Fitbit devices.
