Intuitive Machines, SpaceX to launch Odysseus moon lander on Valentine’s Day

The first private lunar landing mission will take place as Intuitive Machines and SpaceX have decided on a launch date which is said to be February 14, which is Valentine's Day. The Odysseus moon lander will take the direct route to the lunar south pole, unlike ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 mission. The mission is named as IM-1 moon mission which has the major objective of landing on the lunar surface successfully. If the mission is successful, it will become the first private mission to land on the Moon. Know more about the…

ISRO’s Chandrayaan-4 mission to unlock amazing new avenues for space research by India

In space exploration, where meticulous planning is the norm, objectives set the course for any mission. However, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has recently demonstrated a remarkable ability to not only meet but exceed its mission objectives, especially with the Chandrayaan-3 mission. There was a time when GSLV Mk II of ISRO saw 4 failures and 2 partial failures out of a total of 16 launches and cartoons depicted ISRO's efforts humorously, showing established space powers in an "ELITE SPACE CLUB" and a…

Russia to Launch Lunar Spacecraft in Race to Find Water on Moon Against Chandrayaan-3

Russia made its final preparations on Thursday for the launch of its first lunar landing spacecraft in 47 years as it races to be the first power to make a soft landing on the south pole of the moon which may hold significant deposits of water ice.For centuries, astronomers have wondered about water on the moon, which is 100 times drier than the Sahara. NASA maps in 2018 showed water ice in the shadowed parts of the moon and in 2020 NASA confirmed water exists on the sunlight areas.A Soyuz 2.1v rocket carrying the Luna-25…

Russia Launches Luna 25 Lunar Mission, Its First in 47 Years

Russia on Friday launched Luna 25, the country's first lunar mission in 47 years. Luna-25 took off from the Vostochny launch facility in Russia's Far East, the Russia-based TASS news agency reported.Launched aboard a Soyuz-2 Fregat rocket, Luna 25 took flight at 8:10 am (local time) on Friday, CNN reported. The Fregat booster separated from the rocket's third stage approximately 564 seconds after the launch, according to TASS reported. The Luna-25 spacecraft will separate from the booster about an hour after the launch.…

Despite Luna-25’s Failure, Russia Is Hopeful to Explore Moon’s Resources

The race to explore and develop the moon's resources has begun and Russia must remain a player despite the failure of its first lunar mission in 47 years, the head of Russia's space agency Roskosmos said on Monday.Russia's Luna-25 spacecraft spun out of control and crashed into the moon on Saturday after a problem preparing for pre-landing orbit, underscoring the post-Soviet decline of a once mighty space programme.Roskosmos chief Yury Borisov, looking downbeat during an interview with the Russia-24 state TV station, said…

ISRO Hopes Chandrayaan-3 Mission’s Life to Not Be Limited to One Lunar Day

After the successful deployment of Chandrayaan-3's lander and rover on the moon, ISRO is hoping that their mission life will not be limited to one lunar day or 14 earth days, and that they will come back to life when the sun again rises on the Moon, to carry on with the experiments and studies there. Following the deployment of the lander and rover, the systems on them are now ready to perform experiments one after the other so as to complete them within 14 earth days, before the pitch darkness and extreme cold weather…

Wow moment! India’s Chandrayaan 3 spacecraft snapped flying towards the Moon

On July 14, India's Chandrayaan 3 spacecraft took flight from Sriharikota, India to study the moon's surface. The space journey will take around 42 days and the craft is expected to land on the Moon on August 23, making India the 4th nation to land on the moon. After the safe landing, the lander will collect material on the surface for 14 Earth days. There is a rover aboard too. In an amazing turn of events, the Virtual Telescope Project, based in Manciano, Italy managed to capture a video of the Chandrayaan 3 spacecraft…
