Alyx mod Leviathan brings a whole new adventure – Destructoid

A new adventure from some of the community’s best modders Valve’s catalogue has been modded again and again, and has even given birth to iconic titles like Garry’s Mod and The Stanley Parable. Now the modding community is taking on the studio’s most recent release, Half-Life: Alyx, to build on the game’s world and characters and deliver a whole new narrative adventure. It’s called Half-Life Alyx: Leviathan, and we got a full eight minute gameplay demo during today’s PC Gaming Show.…

This Hades mod adds Apollo to the game’s roster of gods – Destructoid

Meet Apollo, the god of music Hades is one of my favorite games of all time. It was my go-to game at the start of the pandemic, and after all was said and done I think I put close to 400 hours into that bad boy. I have played and replayed Hades to death, so anything new to help switch it up is a welcome change. Enter Apollo — the Greek god of music who was left off of the game’s original lineup, but has since been added to the game by way of a mod thanks to AlexKage’s project, OlympusExtra, which was originally…

These FFVII Remake Sailor Moon mod outfits are perfect

Champions of Justice Outfit unlocks (which eventually become free or paid DLC for the most part) rule. Every so often I’ll talk about the feeling of playing through say, an action game, and picking up drastically different outfits for party members: and it’s sort of indescribably fun to me. That includes this FFVII Remake Sailor Moon mod from juijub. Thankfully, PC modding has made the practice of outfit unlocks easier than ever. As in, you literally download a file for the FFVII Remake Sailor Moon mod, and boom!…

‘Elden Ring’ randomiser mod can make every enemy Malenia

A fan-made randomiser mod for Elden Ring completely changes how the player can engage with FromSoftware’s most recent SoulsBorne title. Called the “Elden Ring item and enemy randomiser” and designed by Matt “thefifthmatt” Gruen, the mod completely randomises every item, starting loadout and even allows for enemy placement to be customised. As noted by Kotaku, this means that true masochists can turn every single enemy in the game into the hardest boss, Malenia, if they so choose. Players can even randomise key items…

A Final Fantasy X style Cloud and Tifa FFVII Remake mod? Sure

Two mods actually A Final Fantasy X mod for Final Fantasy VII Remake? It’s a no-brainer: I’ve already downloaded it into my dreams, so I may as well make it official. In reality, this is actually a pair of mods. One of them is a Tifa as Yuna outfit from urbandayz. Another is a Cloud as Tidus costume from Ninjagrime12. With both mods deployed, they work in concert to allow you to live out your FFX fantasy: because of course you know you want to. A little housekeeping: so the Cloud as Tidus mod doesn’t require much…

Fallout 3’s Point Lookout DLC is now a playable mod for Fallout 4

Everything old is new again Fans of the Fallout series are killing it right now, what with in-game Shakespeare performances and new DLC adventures that are so big they’re practically their own games. Truly the epitome of “if you want something done right, you’ve got to do it yourself,” when Bethesda leaves us in cold radio silence, the fans are here to create the content we wish to see in the world, especially as the studio shifts their focus away from the Fallout series for now. The newest project to come from the…

Mario is now in ‘Garry’s Mod’ with his entire ‘Super Mario 64’ move set

A new Garry’s Mod add-on has brought Mario’s iconic moves from Super Mario 64 to the title, and eager fans can get the plumber in the PC game now. Called G64, the add-on does more than just put a Mario skin on the player character, it introduces the entire Super Mario 64 move set into the game as well, letting players long jump, dive, wall jump and wing cap (via PC Gamer). You can see the mod in action below: It's here! G64 is now released to the public. This Garry's Mod addon allows you to spawn a playable Mario 64 in…

‘Fallout 4’ mod recreates ‘Fallout 3”s Point Lookout DLC

A team of modders has faithfully recreated Fallout 3‘s Point Lookout DLC in Fallout 4, and it looks very impressive. Point Lookout was the penultimate DLC pack for Fallout 3, which was released all the way back in 2009 by Bethesda Softworks. Set in a swampland downriver from the Capital Wasteland, Point Lookout broke away from the urban decay of Washington DC for a more exotic (albeit still irradiated) biome. Many of the exterior buildings in Point Lookout were spared from the nuclear bombs, although plenty of new…

Ron Perlman’s agent said no to a ‘Fallout’ mod as it “couldn’t “afford him”

The team behind Fallout 4’s upcoming fan-developed Fallout: London mod attempted to get both Ron Perlman and Liam Neeson involved in the project, but they turned it down. Fallout: London’s lead producer Dean Carter told NME that both actors’ agents were contacted about potentially getting involved, but that both opportunities fell through. Ron Perlman has lent his voice to every game in the series, but is best known for voicing the opening narration to each title, apart from Fallout 4 and Fallout 76. When the mod team…

Elden Ring seamless co-op mod goes into beta this week – Destructoid

No more awkward post-fight goodbyes A new mod for Elden Ring aims to make co-op persist beyond the fog door, and it’s going into beta this week. Modder LukeYui’s seamless co-op mod for Elden Ring is going into public beta on May 27. Yes, Elden Ring does already support co-op. But it is limited to certain areas and generally feels like it’s meant for tackling bosses or tough areas, rather than exploring the Lands Between together. The seamless co-op mod for Elden Ring could change that. Shown off in a video, LukeYui’s mod…
