Electricity subsidy hits N1.6 trillion as NERC unveils new tariff order

The Nigerian government will pay as much as N1.6 trillion to subsidise electricity in the year 2024. The Chairperson of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, (NERC), Sanusi Garba, disclosed this while speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday.
