These apps have been discovered by Thailand’s Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DES) and the National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA). The ministry did ask both Google and Apple to remove those apps from the Play Store and App Store, respectively.

DES Minister, Chaiwut Thanakamanusorn, advised users to be careful when installing apps, and to remove any of these apps if they’re installed. He also advised users to update their devices regularly, as running the latest software is important for security reasons.
