Timothée Chalamet’s Troye Sivan Flashes Undies With BoyGenius

During his second stint as host of Saturday Night Live, Timothée Chalamet portrayed a wide range of musicians, from Willy Wonka during his singing monologue to the godawful SoundCloud rapper Smoke Chedda Tha A$$ Getta during a “Rap Roundtable” sketch. And then, seemingly out of nowhere, he popped up in a tank top as pop star and The Idol actor Troye Sivan.

The sketch opens with Bowen Yang’s doctor interviewing his patient, played by Sarah Sherman, about why she can’t sleep at night and suffers from sleep paralysis.

“Well, every night when I go to sleep, it feels like there’s some sort of figure with me in the room,” she says.

Then, her sleep paralysis demon materializes… and it’s none other than Chalamet’s Troye Sivan, clad in a white tank top and floppy blond wig.

“Not just any gay guy, homie. It’s me, Troye Sivan! Let’s go,” he says, before dancing, shaking his butt, and exposing his red undies to his song “Got Me Started.”

When she asks him if he’s a demon, he replies, “No, not quite, girlie. I’m an Australian YouTube twink turned indie pop star, and model turned HBO actor Troye Sivan, being played by an American actor who can’t do an Australian accent. Bye, diva!”

Yang’s doctor reveals that she’s the fourth woman who’s been tormented by Troye Sivan’s sleep paralysis demon, and when she asks him if Sivan is famous, he snaps back, “He’s gay-famous… it’s different!”

Before long, Chalamet’s Sivan is joined by the night’s musical guest Boygenius — Phoebe Bridgers, Julien Baker, and Lucy Dacus — all similarly dressed as Troye Sivan, and all dancing like mad and flashing their red undies.
