SUVs have always been closer to the heart of Indian car buyers. The same is reflecting in SUV sales in India too. There are several SUVs in different segment but, in India one of the most popular full size SUV at the moment is Toyota Fortuner. It has been present in the market for over a decade and popularity of this SUV has not come down. Recently launched SUVs like Mahindra XUV700 and Scorpio N have also received an overwhelming response from buyers. Here we have a comparison video where Fortuner, Scorpio N and XUV700 are compared to each other.

The video has been uploaded by Team Car Delight on their YouTube channel. In this video, vlogger compares all three SUVs. He talks about the exterior, interior, feature and driving dynamics of the SUVs in this video. Starting with the exterior Scorpio N has a bold looking front design. Mahindra XUV700 gets a bold and premium looking front-end. Vlogger felt that the Fortuner is the boldest looking SUV in the segment and it still has an intimidating look on the road. All three SUVs have distinct design. The headlamps and fog lamps on all three SUVs are LED units. These SUVs also come with 18 inch alloy wheels in the top-end variant from factory. The design of the alloy wheels are different in each vehicle.

Coming to the rear, the SUVs are offering LED tail lamps and out of these three SUVs. Vlogger can be heard saying that Scorpio has a very unique looking design but, XUV700 has probably the best looking tail lamp in terms of design. When it comes to dimensions, Toyota Fortuner is the longest SUV in this video. After Fortuner, it is the XUV700 and the Scorpio N is the shortest. Scorpio N however is the widest and the tallest SUV in this video. When it comes to boot space, Fortuner offers more space with all three row seats up and the Scorpio N offers the least.

 

When it comes to interiors, the XUV700 offers the most futuristic looking cabin. It comes with dual-screen set up on the dashboard. The switches, buttons on the dashboard and the material used all offer a premium feel. The Fortuner and Scorpio N also have a premium looking cabin but, the cabin of the XUV700 looks a class apart. All three SUVs have spacious cabin.

The most airy cabin is offered by Mahindra Scorpio N while, Fortuner offers the best third row space. Scorpio N offers electric sunroof, Mahindra XUV700 offers a panoramic sunroof and the Fortuner does not get any sunroof at all. However Fortuner is the only SUV in this video to get ventilated front seats. Both Scorpio N and XUV700 get many connected car features and many of these are not offered with Fortuner.

All these SUVs are available with petrol and diesel engine options. The Mahindra SUVs are powered by a 2.0 litre turbo petrol and a 2.2 litre turbo diesel engine option. The Fortuner gets a 2.7 litre petrol and a 2.8 litre turbo diesel. The diesel versions of all three SUVs get 4WD and AWD feature. The NVH levels in Scorpio N and XUV700 are better than Fortuner and in terms of performance, the Mahindra SUVs with petrol engine perform well, while the Fortuner is better with the diesel engine. Scorpio N has a softer suspension set up while the Fortuner has a stiffer setup. All three SUVs have decent amount of body roll in it.
