Toyota Innova Hycross VX & ZX variants compared on video

Toyota Innova Hycross was launched in the market recently. This all-new MPV has already started reaching dealerships across India and deliveries for the same has also started. We have seen couple of videos online where the customers are seen taking deliveries of their new Innova. Here we have a video where a vlogger is comparing the VX and ZX strong hybrid variant of Innova Hycross MPV.

The video has been shared by The Car Show on their YouTube channel. Video starts with the exterior of the car. The VX variant is priced at Rs 24.01 lakh, ex-showroom while the ZX is Rs 28.33 lakh, ex-showroom. The VX variant of the Innova Hycross get LED headlamps front parking sensors, halogen turn indicators, 360-degree camera at the front. The ZX variant gets all these features and above that, it gets a dual-function LED DRLs on the bumper and an LED fog lamp on the lower part of the bumper.

Coming to the side profile ZX variant gets chrome window line, chrome inserts on door handles and black cladding around the wheel arches. The VX variant gets body-coloured cladding, door handles and it also misses on the lower window chrome garnish. Both variants get electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs with integrated turn indicators. The ZX varaint gets 18 inch alloy wheels while the VX gets 17 inch units. As we move to the rear, both ZX and VX variants have similar design and features. Both get rear windscreen wiper and defogger, rear parking sensors and so on. The higher ZX model gets electrically opening and closing tailgate while the VX gets a manual one.

As we move in, the ZX variant is only available with captain seats for the second row passengers. The VX variants get both bench and captain seat configuration. The interior in the VX variant is finished in black and brown dual-tone. The seats are fabric and there are features like rear AC vents, charging ports for the occupants. In the ZX variant, the rear captain seats also get electrical adjustments and the seats are wrapped in premium leather material. This variant also gets an additional leg support which can be brought out using one of buttons next to the seat.

Coming to the front row seat, the VX variant gets a leather-wrapped steering wheel, manually adjustable driver seat, cruise control, 8 inch touchscreen infotainment screen with 6 speakers, automatic climate control and so on. The ZX variant gets electrically adjustable driver seat with memory function, leather padding on the dashboard and doors are common in both variants. The touchscreen on this variant is a 10.1 inch unit and get 9 speaker audio system from JBL. There is a panoramic sunroof in the ZX variant and this version also offers ADAS features. This feature is only available with the higher variants of strong hybrid version.

Both these MPVs use the same engine. It gets a  2.0 litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor. This set up generates a combined power output of Rs 183 Ps. The strong hybrid version has a claimed fuel economy of 23.24 kmpl which is highest in its segment. It is paired with an e-CVT gearbox. Toyota does not offer a manual transmission with any of the Innova Hycross variants.
