If you’re a Firefox Mobile user, then this should be good news for you. The beta version of Firefox mobile now lets you install any browser extensions that you want. However, it won’t come without a little elbow grease from the user.

When Firefox had a major overhaul two years ago, it introduced browser extension add-ons. This greatly enhanced the usability of the app. However, there was one drawback. When using any version other than the nightly version of the app, you can only choose from a limited selection of extensions.

This meant that people using the stable release and the beta version of the program couldn’t fully use it to its potential.

Now, you can use any browser extension on the Firefox mobile beta

If you’re a Firefox beta user, then you won’t have to worry about a limited selection of extensions. You now have the ability to install extensions outside of the selection. However, you won’t be able to do so without a bit of a workaround. This means that you might want to avoid doing this if you don’t have much technical know-how.

In order to do this workaround, you will need to have a Firefox account, access to the Firefox add-ons website, and the Firefox beta on your phone. If you want to know how to add more extensions to your Firefox browser, then you can learn more here.

In a recent update to the Vivaldi browser for mobile, the app will automatically close inactive tabs in order to save on RAM. This is part of a new update that brought a new welcome flow as well.

When you go into the settings, you’ll be able to set your tabs to automatically close if they’ve been inactive for a designated amount of time. You have the option to close the tabs if they’ve been inactive for one week, one month, or 3 months.
