The world of smartphones is currently undergoing a significant moment with the introduction of satellite dishes. A few years ago, a special device was required to utilize this feature, but we now have the first options to call the entire world when there is no traditional mobile coverage. ZTE has just launched the Axon 50 Ultra, a terminal that is capable of using satellite messaging.

ZTE, one of the most important companies in the world of telephony, is highly advanced in the manufacture of mobile antennas, and it appears they now have the possibility of giving users a highly advanced terminal at the telecommunications level. This is capable of doing with the recently introduced Axon 50 Ultra 5G. At this point, the name Axon 50 Ultra 5G is already something ‘extra’, since all high-end telephones already have this antenna available.

The terminal features a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED screen in FHD + resolution with 144 Hz refresh rate. The design is clean with hardly any borders, but it’s at the back where there’s a significant advance, and that is the presence of three cameras on the back with 64 MPX on their main sensor signed by Sony. To that, a 50 MPX telephoto lens and a 50 MPX ultra-wide-angle are added. It runs on Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, which might not be the most current, but it’s one of the most fascinating when it comes to building a high-end device. Additionally, it also features an 80w fast-charging system and a 5,000 mAh battery.

However, the most fascinating aspect of the ZTE Axon 50 Ultra is that it has a very compelling satellite messaging technology. There are devices that allow voice calls via satellite, but with this terminal, you can send messages when traditional coverage is unavailable. It will be able to do this thanks to the Chinese technology of the BeiDou satellite structure.

As for its arrival date and price, it has not yet been revealed, so we will have to wait to find out if it will even arrive in Spain. Nonetheless, ZTE surprises with this new terminal that is capable of sending messages via satellite.
