2023 Samsung Q-Series soundbars are now available in the UK

0 29

At CES 2023 earlier this year, Samsung announced its 2023 lineup of soundbars. Today, the company is making Q-series soundbars from its new lineup available in the UK. While the information regarding the models in the new lineup of soundbars was scarce during CES 2023, today’s press release from Samsung makes things clear. Samsung’s new Q-series soundbar lineup includes six models: HW-Q990C, HW-Q930C, HW-Q800C, HW-Q700C, HW-Q600C, and HW-Q60C.

The HW-Q990C is a range-topping model in the Q-series lineup. It has 22 speakers and an 11.1.4-channel audio setup. The HW-Q990C is followed by HW-Q930C, which packs 17 speakers in a 9.1.4 channel audio setup. Then comes the HW-Q800C with 11 speakers. It has a more widely used 5.1.2-channel audio setup. The HW-Q700C and the HW-Q600C come next with 9 speakers and a 3.1.2-channel audio setup. Then comes the most affordable model in the lineup, the HW-Q60C, with 7 speakers and a 3.1-channel audio setup.

All the models in the lineup feature Dolby Atmos as well as Samsung’s new Q-Symphony 3.0 technology, which succeeds Q-Symphony 2.0 that came in 2022. Q-Symphony 3.0, just like its predecessor, uses your Samsung TV’s speakers along with those of the soundbar for better audio quality. Compared to the older tech, Samsung says that Q-Symphony 3.0 will offer “vastly evolved sound for which the soundbar taps into the TV’s Neural Processing Unit to analyze audio signals and process each sound for more detail than ever before.”

The HW-Q990C, HW-Q930C, and HW-Q800C also come with SpaceFit Sound Pro technology. It calibrates the audio as per the room’s acoustics for tailored audio quality by using the microphone built into the soundbar and the subwoofer. These three models, along with the HW-Q700C, also feature Wi-Fi, Wireless Dolby Atmos, Google Chromecast, Apple AirPlay 2, and Alexa. All the new soundbars also feature new sound drivers compared to their predecessors (HW-QXXXB series) and, therefore, should offer better audio quality.
