8BitDo’s Xbox-Branded Sega Controller Releases This Month, Available To Preorder Now

0 20

8BitDo is releasing a new wired, Xbox version of its excellent M30 Sega gamepad. The $35 controller launches on December 22 and is available for preorder now at Amazon.

Like other 8BitDo M30 controllers, this new Xbox-branded version features six face buttons–A, B, X, T, RT, and RB–a D-pad, and four shoulder buttons, as well as the standard Xbox controller’s share, menu, and Xbox dashboard buttons. There’s also a custom profile switcher that lets you swap between up to three custom button layouts on the fly and a 3.5mm audio jack and volume controls for headphones.

The controller is compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows, and connects to your devices via the included USB-C cable. While that limits the wired M30’s reach compared to the Bluetooth versions 8BitDo also offers, the upshot is you get almost no input lag, making this perfect for fighting games.

If you’re looking for other 8BitDo Xbox accessories, the 8BitDo Xbox controller charging dock recently launched for $25 at Amazon, though it’s worth noting you can grab 8BitDo’s Xbox dual charging dock for $25 at Woot. You can also pick up the Bluetooth M30–which supports Nintendo Switch, Windows, and Android–for $30 at Amazon, or the wireless Sega version that works on Switch and the Sega Genesis Mini console for $25.
