The aforementioned Easter egg showcases one of the most infamous scenes from the movie — which features the film’s main cast sitting together outside of school and discussing the town’s latest murders. In that same vein, the OP pointed out that audiences can figure out who the killers are after realizing that Stu and Billy (the film’s killers) never changed their boots.

The boots fiasco is eventually discovered during a scene where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) is confronted and spooked by Ghostface in the school bathroom. In that scene, Ghostface can be seen sporting the exact same boots both Billy and Stu were wearing in prior scenes. And while some fans have argued that many characters in the movie were wearing the same boots and that it might have been included as a red herring, it’s interesting to note audiences could have figured out the killers’ identities just a few minutes into the film.
