The upcoming Arachnophobia remake shockingly receives a lukewarm reaction

Despite the ever-popular trend of modern-day filmmakers taking horror classics and rewriting the narrative with a fresh update, the spooky community is apparently against the upcoming Arachnophobia remake — which has already received the green light. In a recent thread on Reddit, horror die-hards argued that the film will likely rely far too heavily on CGI and will try too hard to recreate the original’s charm and allure. Sadly, it’s hard to disagree with that.

At last, a beloved FNAF character has been spotted in the trailer

After production powerhouse Blumhouse officially unveiled the Five Nights at Freddy’s live-action trailer earlier this week, horror fanatics have been ranting and raving about the upcoming project — especially after fan-favorite character Springtrap was spotted in the trailer. As the lore goes, Springtrap is one of the only characters that can cause a Game Over (kill) for a player, while the other haunted animatronics can simply stun and jumpscare a player. As a result, Springtrap has remained in discussions all throughout the week, and we can’t wait to see his big debut come this October.

A secret horror prequel is coming to terrify us all over again

Without a doubt, horror classic Rosemary’s Baby has gone down in history as one of the most influential and impactful genre masterpieces of all time. And without many of us even realizing, Apartment 7A, an upcoming prequel film, received several test screenings over this past week — with many reviewers insisting that the movie is “very intense.” So, who knows? Even though a prequel probably wasn’t needed, that doesn’t mean it won’t turn out to be a profitable and thrilling venture in the long run.

Crawl back in here next Friday, brave young warriors, for a brand-new horror roundup.
