Actor & reality show contestant Shalin Bhanot takes delivery of Mahindra Scorpio N 9 seat SUV [Video]

Scorpio N is the latest offering from the Indian car manufacturer, Mahindra. Like the Mahindra Thar and XUV700, Scorpio N has also become an instant hit in the market. The SUV is so popular that it currently has an average waiting period of around 18 months. It’s so popular that even Anand Mahindra, the chairman of Mahindra Group, bought one for himself. Recently, many celebrities have been picking Mahindra cars, and we have a video of Big Boss reality show contestant and actor Shalin Bhanot taking delivery of his brand new Mahindra Scorpio N.

The actor, Shalin Bhanot, can be seen talking to the photographers and other media people in this video. The actor mentions that the reason why he bought this SUV was only because of the color. When he started his career as an actor, he used to travel on a Bajaj Caliber motorcycle. When he started getting roles after auditions, his father noticed that his son was using a motorcycle to commute.

His father then gifted him a Honda City in red color, which he told him to use for commuting. This way, he could manage his hair, and he would also be less affected by pollution and dust outside. The actor says that the car was a blessing, and he used it for years. After he started earning well, the actor started looking for another car in the same red shade; however, he failed to find one. None of the manufacturers were making a car in this shade. He did buy other cars; however, when Mahindra launched the Scorpio N, the actor was excited about the red shade as it was similar to what was there on his Honda City.

The actor immediately booked the SUV, and he took delivery of it recently. It looks like a higher Z8 L model, and we can see LED DRLs and fog lamps on the bumper. We are not sure whether the actor bought the petrol or diesel variant of the SUV. The actor was accompanied by his friends and parents to take delivery. They all posed for pictures and then took delivery. The actor also mentions that he was excited about the Sony 12 speaker system and the rugged look of the vehicle. He said he was looking for a rugged-looking SUV for his use.

Mahindra Scorpio N is available with a 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engine, which is available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The SUV is also available with a 2.0-liter Stallion turbocharged petrol engine. This engine is also available with a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine option also gets 4×4 as an option. The price for Mahindra Scorpio N starts at Rs 12.74 lakh, ex-showroom, and goes up to Rs 24.05 lakh, ex-showroom. Mahindra is also working on a 5-door version of the Mahindra Thar for the Indian market, and it is expected to be launched later this year. The upcoming Thar 5-door will come with both petrol and diesel engine options and would be offered in 2WD and 4×4 variants.
