After being absent from the highly popular SUV market for a number of years, the Japanese automotive giant Honda Motor Cars Indian subsidiary Honda Cars India will soon be launching its newest SUV in the coming few months. According to Autocar India, this forthcoming SUV will be called the Honda Elevate and will be competing in the mid-size SUV segment against the segment champions like the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos along with a ton of others. As per the reports, this new mid-size SUV will be based on the fifth-generation Honda City’s platform and will be around 4.3m in length. Most likely this SUV in terms of the exterior design will take its inspiration from the top-of-the-line SUV CR-V sold in the international market. It has also been reported that the upcoming Honda SUV could also look like the newest generation of the WR-V sold in the Indonesian market.

It is believed that the SUV will boast an imposing stance and will look extremely muscular. The SUV will also get a boxy look and will have the proper SUV proportions. The Honda SUV could feature a long bonnet, short front overhangs, huge wheel arches, and claddings on the side. Additionally, it could also get a sizeable grille at the front along with LED headlights and LED DRLs. A few months ago a test mule of this forthcoming SUV was also spotted testing on the country roads.
