The South Korean automotive giant, Hyundai Motor India, recently launched their newest micro-SUV, the Exter, in India. This model has taken the badge for being the most affordable SUV in the Hyundai India lineup, as it sits below the sub-compact SUV Venue. Recently, a YouTuber managed to get his hands on the base variant of the Venue and the top-spec variant of the Exter, and did a complete comparison of both the Hyundai SUV siblings. He shared the video on his channel, giving an in-depth walkaround of both cars and comparing their features and designs.

The video comparing the Hyundai Exter with the 2023 Hyundai Venue has been shared on YouTube by Anubhav Chauhan on their channel. The video starts with the presenter introducing both cars. He mentions that the Venue in the video is the base S variant, costing Rs 10.12 lakh (ex-showroom) in Gurugram, Haryana. He then adds that the Exter, on the other hand, is the top-spec SX(O) variant and it costs Rs 9.88 lakh (ex-showroom).

After this, the presenter states that both cars come equipped with the same engine, which is a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine that produces around 82 bhp of maximum power. He adds that there is only a slight difference in terms of torque, where the Exter produces around 113.8 Nm of torque, while the Venue produces 114 Nm of torque. The presenter mentions that despite having the same engine and power figures, the Venue offers a mileage of 17 kmpl, while the Exter offers a mileage of 20 kmpl.

Moving on, the presenter compares the dimensions of the Hyundai Venue and the Exter, stating that the Venue offers more width and wheelbase, while the Exter has a bigger height. He then moves to the side of the cars and mentions that the Venue does not get request sensors on the front doors, automatic mirrors with turn signals, and electric sunroofs, unlike the Exter’s top-spec variant, which comes equipped with all these features. After this, the presenter shows the front of the cars and mentions that the Exter gets projector headlamps, while the Venue gets halogen headlamps. He states that both cars miss out on fog lamps.

Following this, he moves back to the middle of the cars and adds that the Venue comes with steel wheels with black wheel covers, while the Exter comes equipped with diamond-cut alloy wheels. The presenter also adds that the Venue has a fuel tank capacity of 45 liters, while the Exter has a capacity of 37 liters. Moving on, he shows both cars from the rear and states that the Exter gets a rear wiper and washer, with a defogger and a faux skid plate in the bumper. Meanwhile, the Venue misses out on the wiper and washer, as well as the defogger.

After the exterior comparison, the presenter then moves to the interior of the Exter and mentions that it comes with height-adjustable seats, a touchscreen infotainment screen, an electric sunroof, steering-mounted controls, a push-start button, and other creature comforts. He adds that the interior looks a lot similar to the Grand i10 Nios. He then moves to the interior of the Venue and states that it is more unique, with a dual-tone design. He adds that the Venue also gets a touchscreen infotainment system, steering-mounted controls, and manual air conditioning. He states that, for a base variant, it comes loaded with features and seems like a good buy for those who want a slightly bigger SUV than the Exter.
