The Messi fan commenced her 3000km long road trip from Kerala and her first destination was the Mumbai port. Upon reaching Mumbai, she and her Mahindra Thar boarded a ship to Muscat Oman. From there Muscat she began the journey to Qatar. She travelled to Abu Dhabi the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and then crossing the entire Middle Eastern desert she reached Salwa, Saudi Arabia. From there she entered Qatar and completed her final leg by reaching Doha.

Naaji had an Omani driving license which after reaching the country she converted it into an international driving license and started her journey. Also recently a completely camouflaged test mule of the 5-door Thar spotted testing. This time around the vehicle seemed to be in a production ready spec. From a design perspective the SUV looks identical to the outgoing three version albeit it has been stretched a little to accomodate the two extra doors. In terms of the powertrain the five door SUV The SUV will be powered by the same 2.0 litre turbo petrol and 2.2 litre turbo diesel engines but, unlike the regular Thar, these engine would be offered in a different state of tune.
