So, it’s a bit disappointing being stuck on Android 12 this deep into 2023. Thankfully, according to YTechB, this phone is getting a slice of the Android 13 cake.
The update has the firmware version number T1SH33.35-23-20, and it weighs in at 1.6GB. That’s not too bad, but you’ll still want to make sure that you have the storage on your phone.
What to expect
Since we’re talking about a Motorola phone, we know that the software is going to be very close to stock Android in terms of visuals. There won’t be any major changes to the UI.
In terms of changes, you’ll have more options when changing the color palette for the software. When using Dynamic Color, instead of only having four options, you’ll have 16.
When you summon the notification shade the settings and power options will be at the bottom of the screen instead of in the middle. This makes them easier to access. If you want to have different languages for your apps, there are per-app languages in Android 13.
There are plenty of other changes that you’ll have when you update your phone. If you want to check for updates, you can go to your settings and find the System section. There, scroll down to Advanced then System updates.
