Another Galaxy S23 Android 14 One UI 6.0 test firmware spotted!

0 34

July is shaping up to be an exciting month for Samsung fans on both the hardware and software fronts. On July 26, the Korean giant will unveil its new flagship foldables, tablets, and smartwatches, and, if everything goes to plan, Samsung will also launch the Android 14 One UI 6.0 beta program for the Galaxy S23 lineup.

Samsung has been working on the One UI 6.0 firmware for the Galaxy S23 series for some time, as evidenced by the fact that test builds of the new software were spotted in Europe and India in early July. And it seems Samsung has made further headway since then, as this week a Galaxy S23 Ultra One UI 6.0 beta build — sporting firmware version S918NKSU2ZWG6 — has been spotted on Samsung’s Korean servers.

Galaxy S23 One UI 6 beta release is getting closer

Like previous One UI betas, the One UI 6.0 beta program is likely to make its debut in Korea and the USA before it expands to other countries. Samsung is also likely to bring the One UI 6.0 beta to other devices, including most of the flagship phones in the Galaxy S and Galaxy Z lineups that are eligible for Android 14, before the finished update starts rolling out globally later in the year.

As for what One UI 6.0 will bring to Samsung smartphones and tablets, not a lot is known. We could get home screen widgets on the lock screen and some minor UI changes, but at this time all we can do is wait and see exactly what the update has in store for us. Thankfully, provided Samsung manages to avoid delays, it won’t be long before we get all the answers.
