Recently, a story of one such luxury car purchase was shared online by Astrotalk founder Puneet Gupta. He shared the story of how his Hyundai i10 broke down in front of a Jaguar Land Rover dealership, and he ended up buying a Range Rover Evoque luxury SUV.

The video of Astrotalk founder Puneet Gupta sharing his fascinating story of his Range Rover Evoque purchase has been shared by him on his profile on Instagram. In his podcast, he shares that one day he was traveling in his Hyundai i10 hatchback when it suddenly broke down. He then spotted a Jaguar Land Rover dealership nearby and walked right into the showroom.
He then states that at the time he went inside the showroom, he was wearing shorts, a t-shirt, and yellow flip-flops. After this, he asked the sales representative of the showroom to show him a car. He then stated that from the look on the face of the sales representative, he could see him judging. Next up, the salesman asked him which car he currently drives; to this, Puneet answered that he drives a Hyundai i10.
Following this, he mentioned that the expression on the sales representative’s face told that he was thinking if he could afford the car or not. After this, the salesman started showing Puneet a few different models and started mentioning the waiting periods on each car. Puneet then shared that he asked him to show him a car that he can purchase at that exact moment and take with him. Soon after this, the salesman showed him a Range Rover and asked him if he wants to buy it.
To this, Puneet replied, “Do they have it in white color?” The sales representative then replied that yes, they have a white one available. Puneet then said that he will take the white Range Rover. Following this, the salesman asked about how much loan he would like to take for the car. To this, Puneet replied that he won’t need any loan and will provide a cheque for the payment. A person in the podcast then asked if he bought the car or not, so in reply, Puneet added pictures of him with his White Range Rover Evoque with red ribbons.

In his post, he mentioned, “I bought the car that day but regretted wasting so much money on a car just because I wanted to optimize for time. The regret went on for 2-3 months. But today, when the car has turned 1 year old, I realize what value such a car adds to your life.”
He added, “I have always been treated with respect. But the way people treat you with respect & honor when you get down from a Range Rover is far more than the work I have done in my Career. Strange but true. 7 years ago, I had gone to buy a Creta with a friend, but it had a long waiting time & i10 was available, so I had bought an i10. Time optimization at its very best!”
