Baldur’s Gate 3 Leads The Pack With 11 Nominations For 2024 BAFTA Games Awards
Just because it’s March doesn’t mean award season is over just yet. The British Academy of Film and Television Arts, aka BAFTA, has just announced the nominees for the 2024 Games Awards. Baldur’s Gate 3 is leading the pack this year with 11 nominations in various categories, such as Artistic Achievement, Multiplayer, Best Game, and more.
Right behind Baldur’s Gate 3 is Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, with 10 nominations in categories such as Best Game, Audio Achievement, Animation, and many more.
These aren’t the only games that have been nominated in multiple categories. Alan Wake 2 has been nominated in eight different categories. Some of these include Animation, Artistic Achievement, and Audio Achievement. While other games, such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, secured six nominations in areas like Animation, Narrative, and Audio Achievement.
Larian Studios has recently been on a hot streak of winning awards. In addition to being nominated for various categories, Baldur’s Gate 3 secured Game of the Year during The Game Awards and Steam Awards. It was also GameSpot’s 2023 Game of the Year.
The BAFTA Game Awards is scheduled to take place on April 11 AM PT, which is March 8 at 2 PM ET. It’ll be live-streamed on its official YouTube channel, Twitch, and X/Twitter account.
