Benedict Cumberbatch Goofs In Hilarious Doctor Strange 2 Bloopers

0 67

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness debuted in theatres on May 6 and recently Marvel has released (via People) a behind-the-seen video loaded with lots of fun. The video shows silly blooper moments behind the scenes of the Marvel movie featuring Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen.

Olsen laughs in one moment as she tries to be serious in character as the Scarlett Witch. While hoisted up in the air with wires, what appears to be leaves and debris fly onto her face, causing her to break during multiple takes. It seems like Scarlett is less scary in the Doctor Strange 2 blooper. Meanwhile, Cumberbatch shows off his dance moves in several other instances, along with costars Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong and Xochitl Gomez, who also playfully danced on set.

At one point in the montage, Cumberbatch, fully dressed in his Doctor Strange costume, said, “Nailed it!” Gomez joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe as America Chavez, a young teen with the rare ability to travel the multiverse, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be released on digital on June 22, and on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD on July 26.

Marvel Studios has regularly released blooper reels from its Phase 4 movies ahead of their release on home video. Marvel has also released bloopers of Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, which showed Tom Holland, Andrew Garfield, and Tobey Maguire having fun on set. Like the latter, the Multiverse of Madness blooper showcases the fun stars have to make these blockbusters.

The Bloopers also highlights the extreme differences in tone between what makes the final cut and what actually occurs on set, revealing a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the silly antics that occurred while filming some of Doctor Strange 2’s most intense and horror-driven scenes. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness follows Dr Stephen Strange’s continuing research on the Time Stone. However, the recent teaser trailer offers some more clues about what’s to come.

Most notably, the teaser trailer shows Doctor Strange coming face-to-face with his dark variant Strange Supreme, who previously appeared in Disney+’s What If…? series. Meanwhile, the official plot synopsis of Doctor Stranger 2 reads, “Dr Stephen Strange casts a forbidden spell that opens a portal to the multiverse. However, a threat emerges that may be too big for his team to handle.”
