Best Albedo build in Genshin Impact (Updated 4.5) – Destructoid
Albedo is a 5-star Geo off-field DPS in Genshin Impact who can easily fit into many teams. Here are the best artifacts and weapons for the Chief Alchemist of the Knights of Favonius!
Albedo’s damage primarily comes from his Skill. When playing Albedo you should use Albedo’s Skill, then swap to your next character. Bursting with Albedo is optional, but generally not recommended. The build advice below focuses on maximizing Albedo’s Skill damage.
Artifact Sets
4pc Golden Troupe (4GT)
As an off-field DPS who deals Skill damage, Albedo’s best artifact set is the 4pc Golden Troupe set. He has no trouble maintaining uptime on its 4pc effect, which grants him a massive Skill DMG bonus. This domain is also more Resin-efficient to farm. I recommend 4pc Golden Troupe for Albedo unless you already have a functional 4pc Husk of Opulent Dreams set.
4pc Husk of Opulent Dreams (4Husk)
4pc Husk of Opulent Dreams is still a great artifact set, and it can pull ahead of Golden Troupe in some situations. However, it’s fairly niche, and pretty inefficient to farm for. If you’re farming from scratch, I recommend trying for a Golden Troupe set instead.
2pc combos
While farming for your chosen 4pc set, you can combine 2pc sets with useful set bonuses. These include Skill DMG, Geo DMG, and DEF. There’s a large gap between 2pc combos and the 4pc sets above though, so these should only be treated as interim sets while you farm for your endgame 4pc set.

Don’t build Energy Recharge on Albedo. It’s fine to just cast his Burst whenever it’s available, though it’s often better to just forgo casting it at all.
Focus on CRIT and DEF stats. Albedo’s Skill damage only scales with DEF, so ATK stats are not useful at all.

Uraku Misugiri
Uraku Misugiri may be Chiori’s 5-star signature Sword, but it’s great for Albedo too! He benefits from the CRIT DMG, DEF buffs, and Skill DMG buffs. Cinnabar Spindle comes close, but if you missed out on this 4-star event weapon, then it might be worth considering Uraku Misugiri.
Cinnabar Spindle
Cinnabar Spindle is a 4-star event Sword that was available during Version 2.3 of Genshin Impact. It is Albedo’s best 4-star option, but if you missed out on its event, then it’s no longer obtainable.
Harbinger of Dawn
Harbinger of Dawn may be a 3-star Sword, but it’s still a potent option for Albedo. It provides hefty CRIT buffs as long as Albedo stays above 90% health. This can be an issue when paired with Furina or against enemies that drain your team’s health, but Harbinger of Dawn remains Albedo’s best free-to-play option if you don’t have Cinnabar Spindle.
Wolf-Fang / other 5-star Swords
Wolf-Fang is a decent option at high Refinement, but I don’t recommend buying the battle pass five times just to get a Sword for Albedo. If you happen to have a 5-star Sword with high CRIT stats, you can definitely use that instead.
