The competition in the ever-growing electric two-wheeler segment is extremely fierce, with Ola and Ather Energy being the main rivals. Apart from this, the virtual world of artificial intelligence is also equally competitive, and Bhavish Aggarwal’s brainchild, the Krutrim AI chatbot, is one of the newest entrants. Ever since the company rolled out its AI Chatbot, it has been subjected to controversies, and recently, it found itself again in a controversial spot. This time, Bhavish Aggarwal’s chatbot answered that the Ather 450X is the best electric scooter in India and ignored the Ola Electric scooters.

The Krutrim AI, designed to rival giants like Google’s Gemini and OpenAI’s ChatGPT, was asked by a user, “Which is the best electric scooter in India?” Following this, the response given by Bhavish Aggarwal’s chatbot, Krutrim AI, was posted on the popular social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

It was reported that Krutrim chose Ather’s 450X Gen 3 in response to the query. This response since then has garnered a number of reactions from netizens.

For those who may not be aware, Bhavish Aggarwal, who is the founder of Ola Cabs and CEO of Ola Electric, launched his own company, Krutrim AI, to compete with the likes of OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Google’s Chatbot Gemini. Krutrim AI’s ‘Krutrim Assistant’ is capable of handling text prompts in 22 Indian languages and responding in 10 languages, ranging from English to Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, and more.

However, even before this above-stated controversy, the AI chatbot found itself in another controversy as a user asked if it was based on OpenAI’s GPT 3.5 or GPT 4.0. Following this question, Krutrim confirmed its association with OpenAI, specifying its utilization of the GPT-3.5 version. The response from the chatbot was, “I am a GPT-3.5 model, which is a large language model developed by OpenAI. GPT-3.5 is an improvement over its predecessor, GPT-3, and is part of the family of text-generating models known as transformer-based models. These models use a type of artificial neural network called a transformer, which allows them to generate text that is more context-aware and better suited for complex language tasks.”
