Bigg Boss 17 Winner Munawar Faruqui Awarded Brand-New Hyundai Creta & Prize Money

In the recently concluded reality TV Show Bigg Boss, standup comedian Munawar Faruqui emerged as the winner, post which he was awarded a brand-new Hyundai Creta as one of the prizes. Faruqui won the 17th season of the popular reality TV show and was showered with a brand-new Hyundai Creta, along with a prize money of Rs 50 lakh and a trophy. Munawar Faruqui was awarded the Hyundai Creta by the host of the show, Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

Munawar Faruqui won Bigg Boss 17 over other popular contestants of the show, including actor Abhishek Kumar, actresses Mannara Chopra and Ankita Lokhande and a YouTuber named Arun Mahashetty. It is unclear which version or variant of the Hyundai Creta was awarded to Munawar Faruqui. Though, as it has always been the tradition of awarding winners of reality shows with new cars, Munawar Faruqui might have been awarded a top-spec variant of the Hyundai Creta.

The top-spec variant of the Hyundai Creta is the SX(O) variant, which comes with all the bells and whistles inside-out. On the outside, this particular variant of the Hyundai Creta gets new-age daytime running LEDs with connected LED light bar, LED headlamps, chrome grille, 17-inch machined alloy wheels and new LED tail lamps with connected LED light bar.

Hyundai has also revised the interior of the Creta facelift, with the new SX(O) variant getting black and beige leather upholstery. The equipment list has also been spruced up with new features like a full-TFT cockpit comprising 10.25-inch TFT screens for the instrument console and a touchscreen infotainment system. Other new features introduced in the updated Hyundai Creta are ventilated front seats, wireless charger, panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting, powered driver’s seat, 8-speaker BOSE audio system and Level-2 ADAS.

The Hyundai Creta SX(O) is available with all the possible powertrain combinations offered in the SUV. The engine options are a 1.5-litre 115 PS petrol with 6-speed manual and CVT, a 1.5-litre 115 PS diesel with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic and a new 1.5-litre 160 PS turbo-petrol engine with a 7-speed DCT. We believe that Munawar Faruqui might have been awarded with the new 1.5-litre 160 PS turbocharged petrol engine, as it is this version of the SUV which is actively been promoted everywhere in the media.

In its revised version, the new Hyundai Creta continues to challenge the other midsize SUVs like Kia Seltos, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, MG Astor and Citroen C3 Aircross.
