The Federal Aviation Administration said it has cleared the way for

Boeing Co.

BA 0.91%

to resume deliveries of its 787 Dreamliners.

The Arlington, Va., plane maker had halted deliveries in February over regulatory documentation issues. The FAA has said that Boeing was conducting additional analysis on a fuselage component.

“Boeing addressed the FAA’s concerns,” the FAA said Friday, adding that the agency may resume issuing final safety approvals for deliveries as soon as next week.

A Boeing spokeswoman said the company had completed an analysis to confirm the airplane meets regulatory requirements and didn’t require changes to production or the in-service fleet.

The wide-body jets are popular among airlines and often used on long-haul, international flights. Boeing shares climbed 0.6% in Friday afternoon trading, while major U.S. stock indexes declined.

Over the past few years, Boeing has dealt with various separate production and regulatory issues with the Dreamliner. Deliveries had largely been halted for more than a year, until resuming in August 2022.
