Even though the franchise has been on hiatus for close to a decade, there’s definitely still mileage in more 21 Jump Street adventures, although that’s entirely dependent on the creative team.

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are way too busy trying to rescue Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse after bad buzz emerged from behind the scenes, while to be honest, Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill don’t seem all that interested in reprising their role anymore. We never got that Men in Black crossover, and boy does it still sting.

However, a saga that’s been about bros doing bro-like things and being bro-tastic along the way ever since a fresh-faced Johnny Depp snagged his breakthrough role in the 1980s could be due a fresh coat of paint, and in a move that would be hilarious for the sole purpose of infuriating the darkest corners of the internet, Brie Larson is rumored to be involved.

While there isn’t a shred of officialism to the speculation as of yet, online tipster Daniel Richtman has nonetheless claimed that Jump Street is eying Larson – who played Molly Tracey in the first film – to take center stage in a spin-off. There was an offshoot in the works for a while that was going by the title of Jump Street: For Her Pleasure, but we haven’t heard a thing about it in years.

It’s all just rumor and hearsay for the time being, but it would be worth it happening for the sole purpose of seeing the Academy Award winner’s trolls and haters devolve into a state of complete meltdown.
