Citroen C3 Aircross AT: The Most Affordable Automatic SUV in India

The French car manufacturer recently launched the all-new C3 Aircross Automatic SUV in India. The C3 Aircross SUV was introduced last year, and during the launch, the SUV was available with a manual transmission only. Citroën has unveiled the C3 Aircross SUV Automatic (AT) at an exciting introductory price of ₹12,84,800 (ex-showroom), making it the most budget-friendly automatic mid-sized SUV in India. The price for the top-end Max 5+2 variant goes up to Rs 13.84 lakh, ex-showroom. With the launch of an automatic transmission, the Citroen C3 Aircross has become India’s most accessible and affordable automatic SUV over 4 meters. In terms of looks and design, the C3 Aircross Automatic resembles the SUV launched last year. It features a Chevron logo at the front that extends to become the grille. The grille then extends to meet the split headlamp setup. There are LED DRLs. Unlike many SUVs in the market, Citroen offers a proper fog lamp for this SUV. Citroen claims that the C3 Aircross SUV AT is tailor-made for Indian families, offering a unique package that combines comfort, space, and practicality.

The Citroen C3 Aircross SUV is available with two seat configurations. There is a 5-seat option as well as a 5+2 seat option. The third-row seats can be easily removed to make room for luggage whenever needed. The modularity of the 5+2 seat version allows for up to 511 liters of luggage volume. Along with the new automatic transmission, Citroen has also tuned the suspension and steering to make it suitable for demanding traffic conditions and varying road surfaces.

In conjunction with this launch, Citroen is introducing a new In-app marketplace fueling feature, enabling direct fuel purchases through the app. This feature will initially be available to new owners of the C3 Aircross SUV and will undergo further enhancements through Over the Air (OTA) updates to include existing customers. This feature also works with a mirrored experience with Android Auto. Additional features include Citroen Connect with 40 smart features, including Remote Engine Start and Remote AC preconditioning. It should be noted that these features are controlled via the mobile application and not the key fob. The key fob on this SUV remains the same as the manual version.

The SUV continues to draw its power from a 1.2-liter, 3-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that generates 110 Ps and 205 Nm of peak torque. The torque is 15 Nm more when compared to the manual version. The C3 Aircross SUV AT boasts an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 17.6 KMPL. The Automatic transmission is only available with the Plus 5-seater, Max 5-seater, and Max 5+2 seater variants.
