CoD: Warzone And MW3 Anti-Cheat Update Fights Against Flying Cars

0 17

Cheaters continue to find ways to ruin Call of Duty matches, but Activision has detailed a recent update to its Ricochet anti-cheat system, which went live with the Season 2 Reloaded update for Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone.

Call of Duty’s official updates account has posted a list of several upgrades implemented to Ricochet. These new anti-cheat highlights include enhanced protections and increased response times for the kernel-level driver on PC, speed optimizations for detections in Ranked Play modes, and upgrades for Ricochet’s third-party hardware device detection.

The update also details a new anti-cheat feature called Boom. This feature works to prevent cheaters from having flying cars, which has happened quite a few times in Warzone’s past. With the new Boom feature, vehicles that shouldn’t be airborne may now explode.

Activision also says this anti-cheat update included a ban wave of over 26,000 Call of Duty accounts.

In addition to the fight against cheaters, Season 2 Reloaded also includes a new DLC weapon that provides players with a better way of countering riot shield users. The full patch notes for Warzone and MW3’s Season 2 Reloaded update can be found here.
