The actress posted a blooper from the finale of Season 4, “The One with Ross’s Wedding”

The Friends cast released a joint statement following the devastating loss of Matthew Perry, but now the actors are posting their own individual tributes.

Courteney Cox, who played Perry’s onscreen wife, Monica, wrote a heartfelt statement about her time working with Perry, along with a video from the Friends set in 1998. In the clip, they were filming the finale of Season 4 (“The One with Ross’s Wedding”) when it’s revealed that Monica and Chandler had a drunken hookup in Chandler’s London hotel room. In the actual scene, Monica peeks her head out of the covers and says, “Do you think he knew I was here?” But a hilarious blooper reveals her, adding, “OK, your turn.” She then tells the audience, “We’re kidding, he told me to say it!”

“I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day,” Cox’s statement read. “When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favorites. To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind.”

Cox’s tribute follows Matt LeBlanc, who recently dropped photos of Joey and Chandler, writing, “I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never. Spread your wings and fly brother you’re finally free. Much Love. And I guess you’re keeping the 20 bucks you owe me.”

There’s been an outpouring of grief on the internet following Perry’s death, who died on Oct. 28 at 54. Everyone from the Friends co-creators to the show’s director, James Burrows, to countless actors and musicians have paid immense tribute. Read our list of Chandler’s funniest moments here.
