Sometimes, however, we can’t answer the phone, and on occasion, we wish we could give the caller a bit of context and information as to why. Well, there is a way to do that on your Samsung phone.

Manage quick decline messages on your Galaxy phone

The default Samsung Phone app on Galaxy phones running One UI offers a way to decline incoming phone calls while sending the caller a quick decline message. Better yet, Galaxy device users can create custom quick decline messages to fit various situations. Here’s how.

First, open the Samsung Phone app on your Galaxy phone. Next, tap the menu button in the upper-right corner, go to “Settings,” and select ” Quick decline message.”

You’ll find a few preset quick decline messages in this menu, but you can keep or delete them, and you can create your own by typing it in the “Write new message” field and tapping the plus button.

Now, whenever you get a phone call you can’t answer, you can use on of your custom quick decline messages.
