D Power & K.Dot Combine Their Powers For New Grime Heater “Sour”

0 51

The last two years have been some of the best for D Power who’s made it his mission to keep us well-fed with a steady stream of collabs with all the greats.

Between two volumes of Graphene and a handful of other singles, the East London grime legend connected with the likes of Skepta, Wiley, Frisco, Jammer, Jammz, Manga Saint Hilare, D Double E, and now he can add Scumfam MC K.Dot to his list.

Centred around an Eski-flecked instrumental from Olja Beats and an earworm hook from K.Dot, it’s got modern grime classic written all over it. Raw but cool-headed, both spitters offer some of their best verses yet, particularly the three-letter rhymes that punctuate every line to make the whole thing impossibly infectious.

When you look back on D Power’s run over the last couple of years, it’s usually “Sniper” with Skepta that sticks in most people’s minds, but the whole run has been pretty formidable. Whether or not we can expect a Graphene Vol. 3, we don’t know, but “Sour” is up there with the best of anything we’ve heard lately.

Press play on the video for “Sour” above and be sure to add the song to your playlists.
