Dead by Daylight Killer main ends 1,947 win streak after a year of Blight games

Streamer MomoSeventh has been on a mission to see how long they can go without being beaten in Dead by Daylight as The Blight Killer. Their run was looking like it could top 2,000 wins, but today, it was cut short at 1,947 by a team of Survivors running some of the best loadouts they could have.

MomoSeventh is a content creator who has been streaming Dead by Daylight for over a year with one specific goal in mind: to get and hold the longest Killer win streak as The Blight in the world. According to his YouTube channel, it’s a success rate he’s had rolling for a year now, though the date may vary because this was obviously uploaded after the fact.

After collecting wins to hit that 1,947 mark, MomoSeventh has been beaten by a team running builds that are notoriously hard to crack. During the match and in comments on MomoSeventh’s post on the loss, there is some discussion of the builds, but the fact of the matter is that the streamer was running a Killer build just as good as the Survivor team was, so the competition was pretty even.

The Survivors ran with three Medkits and a Toolbox, both of which were buffed fairly heavily with Add-Ons. This allowed them to heal through a lot of MomoSeventh’s attacks and leave one Survivor to blast through generator repairs. These builds are designed for quick healing through injuries, so it’s no surprise this was a tough match to win for the Killer.

The first video of note that MomoSeventh posted about their Blight win streak was published roughly a year ago. In it, he explains how he counts a win to add to his streak. Essentially, if any Survivors escape through the exit gates after turning on five generators, then that counts as a loss. If he kills three Survivors and one escapes through the hatch, that’s still a win for his streak, so only exit gate escapes could shut him down.

To win ten or so Trials in a row as The Blight in Dead by Daylight qualifies you as a god-tier player in my books. The Blight is a notoriously difficult Killer to play because its abilities require you to master an erratic moveset and precision timing. If you can play this Killer well, then you’ll win a lot, but most of us can’t. To be honest, most of us struggle to win as anything but our main Killer, and most of us don’t main The Blight. I’m sticking to The Unknown for now.

With such a massive milestone under his belt, MomoSeventh’s opinion on any update is valued. He recently posted his thoughts on the most recent patch notes, and I think they add a lot to the discussion among the community. Other fans respect his opinion, too, which is why, if you’re going to learn how to get better at playing The Blight, it pays to watch his videos. The VOD of his 1,738th win is truly something to behold.

While MomoSeventh’s long-running success as The Blight has come to an end, he’s got more plans for the future. He has expressed an interest in branching out as a content creator, but it’s unclear if that means with new Dead by Daylight content or a new game. He still has an impressive record for The Oni, another incredibly difficult Killer to play, that’s going strong, and it would be nice to see him beat The Blight’s streak with a different character to show how they can be useful despite the challenge of using them.
