Drake gave his Toronto rap festival OVO Fest a major plug while at the Kentucky Derby on Saturday afternoon.

Drizzy told NBC Sports interviewer Rutledge Wood he was there to support fellow rapper and Louisville native Jack Harlow, after they just released a new single called Churchill Downs, named after the storied racetrack where the Kentucky Derby is held.

“It just reminds of me of like early moments (in my career), like the same thing I did for a city (like Toronto) that, at the time, really needed that energy lift, that recognition,” said Drake.

“I was referencing like my first OVO Fest (in 2010). I was blessed enough to have two amazing artists (Jay Z, Emimen) come support me. That just drove me. I had to show up. I’m so proud of this guy. And we’re drunk!”

After Wood let out a huge laugh, Drizzy clarified: “He’s sober. I’m drunk.”

Wood earlier asked Harlow if the duo were shooting a video on site Saturday.

“What can I say? We got something going on. We got some cameras rolling,” responded Harlow.

The two rappers joked they had no other option but to place bets on Happy Jack, who later placed 14th out of the Derby’s field of 20 horses.

“He’s really given a good description of how I’m feeling right now,” said Harlow.

“If there was Happy Aubrey, we’d run that too.”

Drake’s real name is Aubrey Graham.
