The rapper from Detroit has been the reigning champion when it comes to curse words in his songs but Toronto hometown boy Drake has taken away the belt.

The folks at language learning platform Preply had to wash out their ears with soap after analyzing 3,632 songs by Billboard’s Top 100 artists across different genres and decades to uncover who used the most explicit language and slang in their music.

Canadians may be known for over-apologizing and expressing niceties, but it seems Drake is neither sorry nor nice when it comes to his lyrics.
The Raptors global ambassador, real name Aubrey Graham, came in at No. 1 with 2,289 curse words in his music to date, according to the study.
His favourite curse is “s***,” which was used 545 times, and the foul-mouthed artist had an average of 5,300 Google searches for “clean Drake songs.”

Eminem came in second with 1,850 swear words in his repertoire, with the frequency of his cursing at one in 50 words.
J. Cole boasts 1,632 expletives to take third place followed closely by Nicki Minaj with 1,612 bad words in her lyrics.

Kendrick Lamar, at 1,281 swears, took the fifth spot while Kanye West (1,110), DJ Khaled (948), Future (939), Tyler The Creator (600) and Lil Uzi Vert (552) round out the Top 10.
When it comes to slang words, Drake and Eminem have also coined terms that were added to the Oxford English Dictionary.
Drake popularized “YOLO,” the acronym for “you only live once,” in 2011’s “The Motto” featuring Lil Wayne and Tyga.
Both artists have been around for more than a decade, with Drake making it big in 2009 with “Best I Ever Had,” while Eminem’s first big hit “My Name Is” released 10 years earlier.
When it comes to the category of current artists, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto and Ice Spice are cursing queens in their own right, ranking the top three spots for cursing in their songs.
