Driving on the wrong side seems like a shortcut to a lot of stupid drivers in India. Tata Ace driving on the wrong side gets into an accident

The video of the head-on collision after driving on the wrong side of the road has been shared on Reddit. What happens in the video is that a Tata Ace commercial vehicle, generally used for transporting goods, can be seen being driven on the wrong side of a flyover. The passenger of the Tata Ace was recording this video where he was trying to show the road.

However, in just a moment, it can be noted that a Tata Yodha pickup truck converted to be an ATM cash carrier was coming from the front at a standard speed. The driver of the Tata Yodha also saw this Tata Ace coming on the wrong side and tried to apply the brakes as strongly as he could. He even tried turning away the steering wheel from the incoming Ace; however, there was not enough time, and the Tata Yodha crashed into the front of the Ace.

What happened next?

From the viral video, we can observe that after the collision, the steering wheel of the Tata Ace impaled the driver. Thankfully, it did not impale him completely, and he can be seen moving. Most likely, the passenger and the recorder of this video also sustained some injuries because of this head-on collision. It appears that the Tata Yodha driver and its passenger might have not been hurt as much as the Ace driver and passenger because of the longer bonnet present. The Tata Ace commercial vehicles do not have a longer bonnet, and this made this accident a lot more severe.

Lesson to be learned from this accident

aftermath of wrong side driving

The driver and passenger of this Tata Ace have definitely learned their lesson the hard way that one should never drive their vehicle on the wrong side of the road. This is because people coming from the front might not notice the wrong side drivers in advance and hence cause accidents as seen above. Additionally, what can also be learned from this video is that controlling a vehicle on a rainy day is not an easy task and despite the speed not being very high, if the vehicle loses traction, there is no saving until the vehicle comes to a complete stop on its own. So, we request everyone to be mindful and drive on their side of the road and drive carefully during a rainy day.
