0 20

From Software will reveal the first gameplay trailer for Elden Ring’s DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree. It’ll premiere at on February 21 at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET.

From Software has also confirmed that the trailer will be three minutes long. Back in December, a gaming retailer in the Philippines inadvertently leaked the expansion’s possible release date as February 2024. Given the timing of this gameplay trailer, the leak may have been true after all. However, we’ll have to wait until From Software gives an official confirmation.

Along with the leaked release date, the retailer also mentioned that Elden Ring would be getting another expansion in 2025 to coincide with potential Malenia and Ranni-themed controllers.

Publisher Bandai Namco recently noted in its latest financial earnings reports that it was preparing to release Shadow of the Erdtree while simultaneously canceling five other games. Additionally, a mobile version of Elden Ring is reportedly in development at Tencent.

In GameSpot’s Elden Ring review, we said, “From Software’s latest is a masterpiece of open-world design that places exploration and player agency at the heart of the experience.”
