Elton John fans are going to get the chance to relive the legendary musician’s performances from his Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour.

The “Rocket Man” singer said on Wednesday that he is “incredibly excited” to announce that he would be releasing a book, Farewell Yellow Brick Road: Memories of My Life On Tour, which follows the five-year journey of his farewell tour.

John wrote on Instagram that the book “goes behind the scenes on my final tour, from Allentown, PA, to Stockholm, Sweden and everywhere in between.”

He continued, “It’s been a beautiful journey creating this book and remembering the people and places that shaped an incredible chapter in my life. As well as the stories and memories, not just from this tour but from throughout my career, I’ve included unreleased photography and memorabilia that I hope give you never-before-seen insights of my life on the road.”

The book is set to be released on Sept. 24 via Hyperion Avenue, an imprint of Disney Publishing Worldwide.

According to the book’s official description listed on John’s website, “Readers will get a behind-the-scenes look into every aspect of the incredible tour, including Elton’s dazzling, final performances at Los Angeles’ Dodger Stadium, his record-breaking performance at Glastonbury, his legendary touring wardrobe by Gucci, the beautifully detailed stage design, celebrity guest attendees, official tour photography, and more.”

The tour initially kicked off in 2018, and was set to end in 2023 but got postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The “Tiny Dancer” musician then concluded his live-touring career, which spanned more than 50 years, in July 2023 with a final stop in Stockholm.

The announcements also came a little more than a week after John obtained EGOT status, scoring his first Emmy for best variety special (live) on Jan. 15.

The Emmy win was for the musician’s Disney+ Farewell From Dodger Stadium special, and the trophy joined his Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards.
