It has been reported that his ₹1.26 crore luxury SUV from the German automotive giant BMW has been seized due to its purchase being initiated with black money. This seizure has been made by ED because of an ongoing investigation into alleged irregularities and financial misconduct surrounding Hemant Soren in a land scam probe, with an attachment of ₹236 crores. It has also been reported that the CM also owns a private jet.

Hemant Soren’s involvement in a land scam probe came under the scrutiny of ED, and his interrogation began at his Ranchi residence on January 20. Following this, a fresh summons were issued, asking the Chief Minister to specify a date for further questioning between January 29 and January 31. However, the situation took a dramatic turn when the ED team, along with Delhi Police, reached 5/1 Shanti Niketan Bhawan in South Delhi on Monday at around 9 am. During the 13-hour-long investigation, the entire residence was thoroughly searched, leading to the seizure of the CM’s BMW X7, which was seen with a Haryana number plate.
Following this raid when CM Hemant Soren was not found at his Delhi residence during the search, questions arose as to where he has gone. The ED’s concerns were also deepened when it was revealed that the Chief Minister had canceled his scheduled chartered flight to Ranchi, and his phones, along with those of his personal security officers, were switched off. Presently, there are reports that have stated that Jharkhand Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) has communicated with the Enforcement Directorate and assured the availability of CM Hemant Soren for a meeting on January 31 at 1 PM. However, at the moment, the official confirmation of this meeting is still pending.

It gets a 48v mild hybrid system and an 8-speed automatic transmission as standard.
